1. Educational purpose only

Caret Care provides educational content, structured guidance, and document templates to help licensed mental health clinicians build private practices. Everything on this platform, including lesson content, templates, checklists, and generated documents, is for informational and educational purposes only. None of it constitutes legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, or clinical supervision, and using the platform does not create an attorney-client relationship, an accountant-client relationship, or any other professional advisory relationship between you and Caret Care.

2. What Caret Care does and does not do

Caret Care guides licensed clinicians through the process of building a private practice. It explains each step, the decisions involved, and the order they belong in, and you carry out every step yourself. Caret Care does not form, register, or incorporate your business, act as your registered agent, file anything with a government agency, licensing board, or payer on your behalf, credential you with insurers, bill for your services, or run any part of your practice's operations. That stays true for any paid service Caret Care may offer in the future. Your practice, its filings, its accounts, and its daily operations belong to you, and so does the responsibility for them.

3. Accuracy and technology

Laws, board rules, payer policies, and fee schedules change, and some changes will reach you before they reach this platform. Content can also contain errors. The software that pre-fills, assembles, and formats your documents can make mistakes too: a field can print blank, carry the wrong value, or apply a default that does not match your state. Caret Care works to keep content current and the technology reliable, but it does not promise that any content, template, or generated document is accurate, complete, or current on the day you use it.

4. Document templates

Document templates (informed consent forms, HIPAA-related notices and policies, payment authorizations, and similar materials) are starting points built around general practice standards, with Wisconsin-based defaults where state-specific language applies. They are not a substitute for review by a licensed attorney in your state.

A consent, notice, or policy you give a client is an agreement between you and that client. Caret Care is not a party to it and cannot promise that it will be enforceable, that it covers every situation, or that it meets the requirements of your license, your state, or your payers. Laws governing private practice, including HIPAA, state licensing rules, insurance requirements, and business formation, vary by state and change over time. Confirming that a document fits your practice is your responsibility.

5. About the founder's credentials

Caret Care was built by a licensed clinical social worker, and its content reflects that training and practice experience. That credential informs how the platform is designed. It does not turn any lesson, template, or service into clinical, legal, or professional advice, and it does not create a clinical, supervisory, or consulting relationship with you or your clients. Caret Care operates separately from any clinical practice its founder owns.

6. What you enter

Every generated document reflects the information you enter. Caret Care does not check that information and is not responsible for errors, omissions, or misstatements in it, or for anything that follows from them. Before a generated document reaches a client, a payer, a board, or anyone else, read it in full and correct it. Using a document means you have reviewed it and accept it as your own.

7. No clinical relationship

Caret Care does not provide mental health treatment, diagnosis, or crisis services, and engaging with the platform does not create a therapist-client relationship between you and Caret Care. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, contact 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

8. Your responsibility

Decisions you make about your practice, including entity formation, billing structure, compliance documentation, and client policies, are made at your own discretion. Caret Care strongly encourages you to consult a licensed attorney, accountant, or your professional liability insurance carrier before finalizing any legal, financial, or compliance decision for your practice.

Request an invite

caret care opens to clinicians in small groups. Tell us who you are and where you're licensed. Requests are reviewed within 2 business days, and if the current group is full, you'll start on the waitlist. Requesting is free; nothing is charged unless you're invited and choose to sign up.

Your invite and sign-up code go here.

Your licenses

One row per state where you hold an active license. Add a row for each additional state.

Where are you in building your practice?
What's your license status?
When do you plan to see your first client in your own practice?
Will you take insurance, private pay, or both?
Beta testers give feedback periodically through short surveys and one 30-minute call. Are you up for that?

Optional. A sentence or two is plenty.
