What you get

Everything your practice runs on, in one place.

Graduate school trained you to treat clients. Nobody trained you to form an entity, credential with payers, or keep a CAQH profile current. We built caret care to cover that work, in products that share one record of your practice, so you enter your information once and every product uses it.

One record of your practice, five ways to use it

Each product picks up where the last one leaves off. Start with whichever fits where your practice is today.

Learn it

The Playbook

A guided build for clinicians starting a practice from zero. Each step explains what the task is and why it matters before it asks you to do anything, and the steps come in the order the work actually happens.

By invite

What you can do

  • Work through 48 steps in order, from choosing an entity type to opening for your first client: formation, compliance, payer credentialing, billing setup, intake, referrals, and launch.
  • Enter an answer once. What you type in a step flows into your Practice Profile, and every later step and document reads from it.
  • Follow your state's rules, with a link to the official source behind each one. New states open every month, in the order clinicians request them.
  • Pick up where you left off. Sections open as you finish the steps they depend on, so you never land on a task you aren't ready for.

Store it

My Practice

Every number, date, and detail a practice runs on, kept in one record. For clinicians who already have a practice, this is the place to start.

Live now

What you can do

  • Keep your Practice Profile: entity, clinicians, licenses, malpractice coverage, payers, and the account details you look up most.
  • Copy any number in one click, like your NPI or CAQH ID. Your EIN stays masked until you reveal it.
  • Track the dates that cost you if you miss them: CAQH re-attestation every 120 days, license and malpractice renewals, your state's annual report, and federal tax dates.
  • Get an email before each deadline, and add every date to your own calendar.
  • See the payers in your states, ranked, with a place to mark each one as applied.

Generate it

My Documents

Your practice paperwork, generated from the record you already built. No retyping your practice name into thirty forms.

Live now

What you can do

  • Generate the paperwork a practice opens with: informed consent, client intake, release of information, telehealth consent, a HIPAA security checklist, and more. Thirty-one documents today.
  • Fill in client details at download. They stay in your browser, your device makes the PDF, and the details never reach our servers.
  • Fix gaps before they print. A document missing information lists exactly what to add instead of producing a half-finished form.
  • Start with informed consent included when you hold My Practice.

Run it daily

The EHR

A lightweight record for outpatient therapists, built around measurement-based care. It opens already filled with what you set up in the Playbook and My Practice.

What you'll be able to do

  • Let an AI scribe draft your notes from a short dictated summary or a recorded session, in SOAP or the note format you already use. You review, edit, and sign; nothing enters the record unsigned.
  • Score PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, and more automatically and watch each client's scores chart over time.
  • Write treatment plans with goals tied to the measures you track.
  • Keep psychotherapy notes separate from the record, and export a client's full record whenever you need it.

After launch: scheduling, telehealth, a client portal, and billing tools for client payments, superbills, eligibility checks, and insurance claims.

Built for you

Practice Site

A website for your practice that we build and keep running from what you tell us. You describe; we build.

Coming soon

What you'll be able to do

  • Choose a template and the pages you want, and get a finished site back.
  • Change it any time by typing what to update or uploading new images.
  • Publish to a simple blog on the same site.
  • Use your own domain. If you ever leave, the domain leaves with you.

On the roadmap

caret collab

Opt-in profiles that let clinicians in caret care find each other for referrals, consultation, and coverage. Your profile shows only when you turn it on, and only to other members.

On the roadmap

Verified Vendor Network

Formation services, insurance carriers, and banking partners we've vetted, with member discounts where we can negotiate them. We disclose any referral arrangement up front.

What holds no matter which tools you use

Your clients stay yours

You pay for the tools you use, never a cut of your sessions, and we will never restrict who your clients see. If we ever help clients find you, that will be a flat-price listing you choose to buy, not a fee on the sessions that follow.

One record, entered once

The Playbook, My Practice, and My Documents read from the same Practice Profile. Change a license date in one place and every product picks it up.

Client information stays with you

The Playbook, My Practice, and My Documents never store client health information. The EHR will hold client records only under a business associate agreement we sign with you.

Your data leaves when you do

Your profile and documents belong to your practice. If you cancel, you have thirty days to download everything.

Build the practice. Keep the clients.

caret care is invite-only while the beta runs. Members who join now get early pricing, a direct line to our team, and a say in what we build next. Request an invite with your license type and state, and we'll respond within two business days.

Request an invite

caret care opens to clinicians in small groups. Tell us who you are and where you're licensed. Requests are reviewed within 2 business days, and if the current group is full, you'll start on the waitlist. Requesting is free; nothing is charged unless you're invited and choose to sign up.

Your invite and sign-up code go here.

Your licenses

One row per state where you hold an active license. Add a row for each additional state.

Where are you in building your practice?
What's your license status?
When do you plan to see your first client in your own practice?
Will you take insurance, private pay, or both?
Beta testers give feedback periodically through short surveys and one 30-minute call. Are you up for that?

Optional. A sentence or two is plenty.
